Verdict

A small field finale where Montague will be popular having been claimed by David O'Meara for £14,000 after winning for Jamie Osborne over 6f here recently. However, this race rates as a tight and trappy affair in which more than a couple of the other runners have solid enough claims. At more attractive projected odds, small stakes are played on the filly ONEROA. She appears to need this 7f trip as demonstrated when finishing a head second to Elixsoft over C&D on her penultimate start. That form has worked out well, with the winner, the third (Ray Purchase) and the fourth (Bad Dog) all winning subsequently, so a 4lb rise in the weights appears fully merited.
