Verdict

The market will tell us more about the debutants Casey Jones, Lait Au Chocolat and Wunderbar. It should also provide a pointer to Poet's Pride who took the eye when backed on his debut before flopping ten days later. It is likely that came too soon, but he may go on to prove better than we have seen so far. Citron Major finished third to an easy winner here on his debut but he will improve for the experience and a similar remark applies to NEW ORLEANS. Hugo Palmer's charge looked green at Lingfield on his first start and it was no surprise to see him struggle with the track. He applied himself well in the closing stages and this stiffer circuit looks sure to help.
  1. New Orleans
  2. Casey Jones
  3. Lait Au Chocolat
