James Ewart sends three runners across from his Langholm base, the clear pick of which is November's C&D winner
Strike The Pose. This mare has been well travelled since then, having endured a couple of fruitless journeys south to Huntingdon. Interestingly, she was declared to race with a hood at the abandoned Newcastle fixture on January 7th, but that is left off today for whatever reason. The unexposed runners in the line up are the once raced winning point-to-pointers
Highland Hunter and
HITMAN FRED. The latter is well related, and clearly a horse of note and substance having cost Rose Dobbin £90,000 in May, so he rates as a speculative selection with little in the way of reliable rules form from which to base a sound judgement.
