BRIYOUNI appeals most on his debut for Ralph Beckett whose string are in good form. The five-year-old was with the Kevin Ryan stable which had a problematic 2017 and so it is possible he starts this year on a more attractive mark than would have been the case but for those issues. The gelding has responded positively to a break in the past and he looks an interesting play given that potential for improvement.
Gothic Empire has raced over middle-distances on both starts for his new yard. He is untested at this distance but he could be one to watch in the market with Martin Harley booked to replace a claimer.
