Verdict

A National Hunt Flat race to conclude the Musselburgh action, and with wind surgery declared for the first time publicly, we can say definitively that the tongue tied pair Dr Hooves and Wimpole have had 'treatment' since their latest starts. In any case, we digress from the most intriguing horse in this race, and perhaps over the course of the afternoon. I'M TO BLAME made a strong positive impression when scoring on debut at Catterick in late November, and that form has been franked by the third placed horse Return Ticket (Malcolm Jefferson) winning at the same North Yorkshire venue next time. Brian Hughes takes over in the saddle from Craig Nichol aboard the Keith Dalgleish trained five-year-old, and that pair are to be ever feared in these type of races, so I'm To Blame rates as NAP material. Star of Lanka should come out second best assuming that he can cope with the demands of a much sharper track than Newcastle, and isn't over-phased by tackling his elders for the first time.
  1. I'm To Blame
  2. Star Of Lanka
  3. Dr Hooves
