Verdict

The early part of tonight's Kempton card has a similar feel, and is very much a story of experience versus inexperience. Both Count Otto and Desert Doctor are penalised for their recent C&D successes, with perhaps the latter named appearing the most straightforward of that pair. Lady Al Thumama drops to 6f for the first time wearing a newly applied tongue tie, whilst Ambroise (a brother to Brian The Snail) is the most interesting of the newcomers. However, it is Clive Cox's steadily progressive filly MOON SONG who rates as the selection. She has done nothing but improve, and can make the most of the weight she receives from the penalised pair; which is further boosted by both her fillies allowance and her riders 3lb claim.
  1. Moon Song
  2. Desert Doctor
  3. Ambroise
