Verdict

There's no one stand out contender here, so despite the fact he finished last on debut it may be worth siding with ALPINE PEAK. Roger Varian's representative probably has the most scope to improve from his debut having run green throughout, and though he was the last of the six to come home he wasn't beaten all that far and is ridden by Silvestre De Sousa for the first time here. Gaudi is another potential improver for a top Newmarket yard and is feared most, while Temur Khan appeals most of the newcomers.
