Verdict

Treaty Girl apart, these look a closely matched group. Last year's winner Desert Queen looks marginally held by Antartica De Thaix and Briery Fille but they have questions to answer after disappointing performances last time. Harry Fry's mare faces competition for the lead from Debdebdeb who has been well placed to win two minor races over fences and faces her first real test. Antartica de Thaix and Briery Fille are feared if bringing their best form to the track this time but MIA'S STORM has fewer questions to answer. Alan King's charge showed improved form when switched to fences last month. She did not have to come off the bridle to beat a good field and her official rating puts her on a par with her chief rivals. With proven fitness on her side she has plenty going for her and warrants the selection.
  1. Mia's Storm
  2. Desert Queen
  3. Antartica De Thaix
