Verdict

Archie Watson has had a brilliant year and his ability to get handicappers to put sequences together has been exceptional. Petite Jack has an excellentAW record and his determination to win will make him hard to beat. However, it is hard to overlook MIDDLE KINGDOM who was considered for the Dante after his success at Newmarket's Craven meeting. The subsequent exploits of the second and third have him leniently treated in this and, provided his absence is not down to serious injury problems, he has an excellent chance of maintaining his unbeaten record. Plutonian is interesting on this surface and over his trip, whilst Pactolus looks sure to be thereabouts once more.
