Since gaining Listed status this race has become a good target for the top yards and their better staying juveniles. John Gosden had first and second in this last year and is well represented again with Westerland and Graffiti Master. Both are clearly nice horses and are probably better than we have seen so far. Dee Ex Bee represents another yard whose runners do well in this. He needs to prove himself on quicker ground and has been found wanting in this grade. . Balydoyle runners have not had the vest of luck in this race but they rely on a highly regarded Group class performer this time in the shape of KEW GARDENS. The yard expect him to make into a smart stayer next year and his second to Nelson in a Group Two sets the standard the others need to achieve.
