Verdict

This does not look to have much depth to it and THE STATESMAN is taken to score on his debut over timber. Ian Williams' charge is in cracking form on the Flat and should be well schooled for this. If he can jump with any fluency then this looks there for the taking. High Wells can improve and should be able to take a hand in proceedings, while both Yorkshire Star and Irish raider Sonic Wind could take a step forward and get involved in the scrap for the minors. Keep an eye on the market too, especially with regard to Harbour Force.
