Verdict

Not an easy start to a card that is littered with competitive handicaps and this is one of the hardest to solve. Daffy Jane has always looked the type for handicaps and that was shown last time out at Ripon but ELLER BROOK is narrowly preferred. She makes her handicap debut here and given her pedigree ought to be able to win off this opening mark having shown a fair level of form so far. Of the other handicap debutantes it’s Alaskan Beauty that makes most appeal moving back to 5f. Shay C will take some pegging back if he settles (but that is an if) and better could be expected from the Dalgleish pair Rocket Man Dan and Hypnotic Dancer the former being well drawn.
  1. Eller Brook
  2. Daffy Jane
  3. Alaskan Beauty
