Forecasts

Muntadab (3/1), Normandy Barriere (4/1), Amazour (9/2), Dougan (9/2), Aventinus (9/2), Medici Banchiere (11/2), Northgate Lad (8/1), Theodorico (10/1), Tropics (16/1)

Verdict

A number of these may struggle to produce their best on the forecast soft ground and that could leave the way clear for the in-form MUNTADAB to follow-up his Haydock win over a similar trip last week under a penalty. On paper he will need a career best to do so, but given his proven ability to act with cut in the ground, he may be good enough. Northgate Lad is another who like to get his toe in and even though he is thoroughly exposed, he might still beat a few of these home. Amazour is a danger if he can go on the ground and although a risky proposition, Tropics will love the mud and is on a very handy mark.
  1. Muntadab
  2. Amazour
  3. Northgate Lad
