Verdict

This could be between two colts who finished second on their respective debuts. Radio Source ran a very promising race when finding only one too good at Yarmouth despite not doing himself any favours in running, but preference is for AMBIENT. Roger Varian has recently hit a great run of form and this son of Born To Sea when close to upsetting a short-priced favourite on his first racecourse appearance. Now with the benefit of a run, he can get off the mark at the second time of asking. Staunch is a half-brother to a US Grade 1 winner, is drawn well, and appeals most of the newcomers.
