Verdict

Experience in the saddle generally counts for plenty in these type of races, and for that reason alone, Fine Example must figure high upon the shortlist with the fast emerging Seamus Cronin able to claim 3lb (rides for his own stable) against less experienced riders. Furthermore, the fact that Kevin Ryan elects to send his representative on the long journey south adds further strength to the argument for supporting the top-weight. However, in the shape of BENGAL LANCER he meets a less exposed rival. This Hellvelyn gelding produced a career best effort when upped to this trip at Sandown for the first time last month, and with the proficient Manuel Fernandes in the saddle should take any further rainfall firmly in his stride.
  1. Bengal Lancer
  2. Intimately
  3. Fine Example
