Forecasts

Culloden (9/4), Nuala Tagula (9/4), Pearl Acclaim (10/3), Kodimoor (9/2), Lizzy's Dream (6/1), Brendan (10/1), Emerald Secret (12/1), Roman Times (12/1), Luv U Always (28/1)

Verdict

A few of these come here in good form while, conversely, some apparently have big questions to answer. Pearl Acclaim has hit the crossbar on his previous two starts, including over C&D but his poor strike rate tempers enthusiasm that compensation might be in store. Kodimoor and CULLODEN on the other hand have shown their willingness to win. The former won in spite of hanging at Hamilton last time and will enhance his claims if charting a straighter course but Culloden has shown real guts in winning here and at Thirsk and look well-in with Manuel Fernandes taking a handy 7lb off also to help. They look the most likely winners but Brendan can be given a chance of hitting the frame having improved last time around here for her local trainer.
  1. Culloden
  2. Kodimoor
  3. Brendan
