Verdict

A trappy finale in which there appears no obvious stand out selection. Papou Tony has progressed on the AW in recent months, and assuming he can translate that level of form back to turf, then his winning spell might not quite be over just yet. Harbour Grey looks better than she's shown since switched to handicaps, and this is without question weaker than the races she has been contesting at York, whilst impressive Chepstow maiden winner Madeline Bond makes her handicap bow. Operative looks one to keep an eye on with regards the future as the handicapper eventually shows some leniency, but without all that much confidence, a few shekels are thrown in the direction of DIABLE D'OR in the hope that he gets a smoother passage than he has done in two starts over 7f to date.
  1. Diable d'Or
  2. Harbour Grey
  3. Madeleine Bond
