Verdict

LES ARCEAUX got his relationship with this rider off to a dream start last time out with a smooth success at Gowran Park and on just his seventh run there's still plenty of scope for better so a 6lb rise is not certain to ground his ambitions now. Silk King ran an eye-catching at that same venue on his handicap debut, finishing fourth, and could be set for better things while any money going behind Gold Struck would be worth noting. Hard Times was a shock winner last time out but doesn't appeal as one likely to follow up so the likes of Sleepy Head, going well under Smullen this season, are preferred along with Avalanche, who showed up well enough on return to action at Listowel recently.
  1. Les Arceaux
  2. Sleepy Head
  3. Silk King
