Forecasts

The Eyes Have It (5/1), Blairmayne (5/1), Fountain (6/1), Camile (6/1), Il Piccolo Grande (7/1), Alans Pride (8/1), Plough Boy (9/1), Waitaki (12/1), Arbourfield (14/1), Camellia Japonica (14/1), Shore Step (14/1), Buttermere (14/1), Pari Passu (16/1), Burn The Boats (20/1), Mr Ormsby (25/1), Mountain Fox (25/1), Fair Game (25/1), Fastidious (25/1), Dasheen (25/1), Rosenborg Rider (33/1), Nuclear Option (33/1)

Verdict

Dasheen provided an emotional success for connections at Gowran Park last month but his hopes of a follow up are probably going to be scuppered by the ground now. Fountain has posted solid efforts at Leopardstown either side of a break and a breakthrough should be imminent for him while Waitaki showed last time out that this rating gives him decent claims of winning. Arbourfield has improved on the AW this year with a hat-trick of wins and can play a role now back on turf if able to run to that level but last year's winner THE EYES HAVE IT has been lightly-raced since and ran an eye-catching third last month at Naas suggesting his credentials are strong back here off just a 2lb higher mark than he scored off a year ago. Blairmayne and Pari Passu have both give signals recently that they will make a mark sooner rather than later.
  1. The Eyes Have It
  2. Fountain
  3. Arbourfield
