Verdict

It's a measure of the regard Richard Hannon has for Rogue that he was happy to pitch him straight into a conditions race for his debut and, all things considered, he acquitted himself well behind three previous winners on soft ground which may not have been ideal. With that experience to draw on, he could prove a tough nut to crack against a field of newcomers but the $1.4 million purchase BEING THERE boasts ominous credentials on paper and may prove a cut above with the yard doing so well. Mutafarrid looks the most interesting of the remainder.
