Verdict

Captive represents a yard with a good history in this and there are reasons to expect him to improve considerably on a low key debut in the Newbury mud. Willie Haggas has his team going well and his newcomer, Important Mission, is one for the shortlist. Plutonian and Tuscany are in the same ownership but it may be telling that her favoured rider has opted for LA RAV. Luca Cumani has his horses firing on all cylinders now and in particular his three-year-olds. LA RAV contested a Newmarket maiden on his debut. That may prove to be one of the weaker maidens they run there this season. Nevertheless, there was a lot to like about his performance considering his yard's runners have been in need of their initial run of the campaign.
  1. La Rav
  2. Important Mission
  3. Plutonian
