Verdict

Dark Red makes a quick reappearance having shaped encouragingly on Saturday over a trip short of his best and his rider can do no wrong at present. The combination are to be feared although the yard are finding winners hard to come by at present. Repercussion would be interesting if attracting support whilst Qaffaal and Noble Gift have been in good form lately. If the latter is ridden as positively as last time, he may set this race up nicely for Mick Easterby's charge. HAMELIN is another who would appreciate a good pace as he can race keenly. His trainer drops him to this trip for the first time as he approaches the veteran stage of his career but his style of running could make that a sensible move. The form of his latest win at Newcastle was boosted by the second and third and he is worth following with the same top rider on board.
  1. Hamelin
  2. Dark Red
  3. Qaffaal
