Verdict

Victoria Says shaped as if a step up in trip would suit on her hurdles debut at Navan (beaten by a better fancied stablemate), and hailing from this stable is much respected. Helmsley Lad is a consistent sort, but there must be some concerns about his stamina over this trip, and whilst he'll undoubtedly find a race sooner rather than later over hurdles, he could prove beatable today. Andrew Slattery has done well with Dave Armstrong's Dimple over in Ireland this winter, and AN LAOCH hails from that same source, and shaped with clear signs of promise on his debut for Chris Grant at Newcastle recently, and seemingly certain to relish this step up in trip, he could prove to be the value play in a distinctly weak and winnable contest.
  1. An Laoch
  2. Victoria Says
  3. Helmsley Lad
