Verdict

A rather grim looking handicap chase which is full of infrequent winners. Sky Full Of Stars is top-weighted with good reason after at least posting a couple of wins earlier this year, but he was beaten from this mark last time at Kelso. C&D winner Miss Conway is of interest on her very best form, and could be tough to peg back from the front if sharper for her recent spin at Southwell. Whilst it takes a brave soul to 'back' PEKANHEIM, he took full advantage of a golden opportunity to score on his penultimate start at Musselburgh (and that form looks stronger now than it did at the time with the runner up successful at Newcastle since). The Martin Todhunter trained gelding also knows what it takes to win at this track, and whilst this race is numerically stronger than that Musselburgh race, it is certainly no stronger in terms of overall depth.
  1. Pekanheim
  2. Miss Conway
  3. My Idea
