Verdict

Despite the result of the big one it appears that those drawn low are being favoured at this meeting and as such this opening contest can go the way of BRILLIANT VANGUARD. The selection has been running well on the AW recently and is now rated just 1lb higher than for his most recent turf success. Ballymore Castle finished fourth in a valuable contest here in November and can take second here off a 2lb lower mark while Timeless Art is also respected having won two of his last three starts in 2016. Of those drawn high King Of Naples makes most appeal having taken victory on his latest outing over C&D in September.
  1. Brilliant Vanguard
  2. Ballymore Castle
  3. Timeless Art
