It would be no surprise if
Clondaw Banker had a going day and took this for an in form yard. He has been a beaten favourite on six occasions and he is not one to pin your hopes on. The ground and a falling handicap mark will help him as will a significant drop in class.
Only Gorgeous has been performing to a more consistent level than any of these. He can hardly be described well handicapped and a record of one win in 20 starts is uninspiring. However, his style of running should be suited to this venue and his last run here was over an inadequate trip. Preference is for
OLIVER'S HILL. Lawney Hill's charge has shot up the weights following two wins at Leicester during the winter. The strong gallop he needs would appear likely and, with ground conditions in his favour too, he has a lot to recommend him.
