The form book would suggest this is a clear match between
BENATAR and
Glaring. The former is a C&D winner who has a BHA rating of 130. He won a minor race here before running well in the Sidney Banks Novices Hurdle at Huntingdon against much stronger opposition. He came up against the useful Le Breuil next time at Newbury where he was clear of the third. The stable are in better form now than at any time since the turn of the year and he is taken to add to their recent haul. A literal interpretation of Glaring's Huntingdon win would give him a much higher rating than the selection. It is likely though that the second and third have improved considerably since then. He is prone to errors and that tilts things in favour of the selection.
Brave Eagle may have further wins in him but he has plenty to find on form. His stable continue to pump out winners and that earns him respect but he needs to find the best part of a stone to trouble the principals here.
