Forecasts

Linenhall (7/4), Portrush Ted (11/4), Victarion (4/1), The Welsh Paddies (6/1), Buckby Boy (13/2), Iron Horse (12/1), Midnight Magic (14/1), Take Em Out (16/1), Sixteen Letters (25/1)

Verdict

As ever with bumpers, this is best approached with one eye on the future. Buckby Boy certainly fits that profile and he will be one to keep tabs on whatever occurs on the racecourse. However, LINEMAN has a valuable edge in terms of experience and just edges a slender vote of confidence this time around. Portrush Ted was an expensive purchase and will have the weight of expectation thrust upon him. However, as is the case with Buckby Boy, he is very much a long-term prospect and can only benefit this experience. Iron Horse also makes some appeal on breeding and catches the imagination as one to bear in mind at longer odds.
  1. Linenhall
  2. Buckby Boy
  3. Portrush Ted
