Verdict

A tricky opener where a lot depends on whether Christmas In April can settle into a rhythm early enough so his rider can save a little in reserve for the finish. He has to be respected, given his yard's record in the race. However, the form of SO CELEBRE's latest start is working out well and, with the weight-for-age allowance on his side, he is a punters' choice to get things off to a flyer. Coyoacan is an interesting contender for a race of this nature and is one to monitor closely, while Calva D'honore is another with solid claims if he can run with a little more restraint this rime around.
  1. So Celebre
  2. Christmas In April
  3. Coyoacan
