Verdict

Mark Johnston is a trainer that excels when he finds one for races of this nature and it would no surprise to see his TARTAN BUTE brush aside the burden of the weights with a degree of ease. He is worth a saver at least. Last year's winner, Midtech Star, is likely to throw down a stern challenge in his bid to retain his crown, while Ardamir represents a shrewd operation, so strong support in the betting would be dangerous to ignore. Uncle Bernie has defied expectations on a couple of occasions and can give each-way punters a run for their money. Similar comments apply to Ravens Quest , even though he needs to conclusively prove this trip is ideal for him.
  1. Tartan Bute
  2. Midtech Star
  3. Uncle Bernie
