Raced wide, took keen hold tracking leading pair, tracked winner 10th, led narrowly 4 out until next, soon ridden, pressed winner 2 out, wandered left under pressure between last two, no extra when hung badly left run-in op 15/2 tchd 8/1
This looks weak for a Grade 2, and shouldn't take much winning if FRODON is in the same form that saw him win a competitive Grade 3 handicap at Cheltenham in November. His disappointing run in the Kauto Star is perhaps the only worry, but that race was much more competitive than this, and this trip would seem to be his optimum. Charmix looked beaten when unseating last time but is probably still the main opposition, ahead of Gold Present, who didn't run nearly as well as expected at Kempton last time.
1. Frodon
2. Charmix
3. Gold Present
