Verdict

This is far weaker than the other maiden on the card and although it looked as though MERCERS would have to wait for handicaps to taste success this race gives her a good chance to break her duck. Endeavour has to be given a chance based on his last run although the wide draw is a worry. Of the two newcomers the most interesting over this minimum trip is Midnightly for a yard that have been known to have a debut winner with this sort. Jashma should also be taken note of as he looks the sort to do better with this run under his belt. 1. Mercers 2. Midnightly 3. Endeavour
