Verdict

OUTSPOKEN and Icario have twice each been forced to play second fiddle in four runs over timber of late but this appears an ideal opportunity for one or other to get over the line. The selection returned from a year off with a good run over Christmas and has been given time to recover. He was a smart performer on the Flat and should have the turn of foot to win this. Icario needs to iron out some jumping issues that have cost him ground but remains a live danger in what is essentially a race lacking depth. Mr Showtime has plenty experience of the track in bumpers and could run well while the selection's stablemate Ancient Empire could also improve on his Cork bumper debut. Bold Sky is worth a market check too for her in-form trainer on debut. 1. Outspoken 2. Icario 3. Bold Sky
