All heads will quite rightly be turned to SIGNE, who surely boasts the tag of the most expensive yearling to run on the Tapeta at Gosforth Park to date. She's bred to need a trip, and faces no easy task giving weight away to all of her rivals as the sole older horse in the race, but with her pedigree, the sole objective is surely to get a victory into her, and presumably connections wouldn't be sending her North unless she's fully tuned up and ready to strike at the first attempt. Fellow debutant Dalavida looks the principal danger, with her trainer David Simcock having sent many a nice horse to Newcastle since the introduction of Tapeta in 2016.
