Maiden winner here at 2 yrs and often highly-tried since, posting arguably his best effort yet when fourth in the Greenham on this card 12 months ago. However, well held all 3 subsequent starts, including on handicap bow when last seen at Goodwood in August (gelded since). Yard also fields Classic.

Enjoyed a fine 2024, winning 5 times at around 1m. Creditable fifth of 12 in the Lincoln Trial on Wolverhampton reappearance but he struggled in the Lincoln itself next time and others look better treated.

Accounted for 20 rivals when landing this race on his reappearance last season and largely creditable efforts in defeat since, notably finishing fourth of 18 in a valuable Ascot handicap off this mark in July. Will be a danger to all if, like 12 months ago, he is raring to go following a break.

Evidently goes well fresh, scoring on his reappearance in 2023 and likewise last season. Runner-up in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket when last seen in September and while a shade more will likely be needed if he's to take this, a bold show may well be on the way with William Buick booked.

Got up in the dying strides when landing a Goodwood handicap last summer and best effort since when sixth of 19 in a valuable contest at Leopardstown in September. Failed to fire in listed company on final start of 2024 and, though that run can probably be excused, she looks vulnerable all the same.

Useful at 2 yrs and while he barely beat a rival home on his first 3 starts of last term, he signed that campaign off with a solid second in a 9-runner Yarmouth handicap (6f, good to firm). Shapes as though worth a crack at this trip and he's not ruled out.

Drew a blank in 2024 but shaped well a couple of times in handicaps at Meydan earlier this year prior to winning one dropped back to a mile last month, showcasing a good turn of foot in the process. Remains on a fair mark and he's interesting here with Jamie Spencer aboard.

Better than ever when hitting the target at Ascot (1m, good to soft) in October and this usually consistent type can probably be forgiven for a rare poor display on his final start of 2024. Still, he'll need to scale new heights in order to emerge on top here.

Registered fourth success of 2024 when seeing off 8 rivals in a Racing League event at Windsor in August. Followed that with a good second on the AW but was out with the washing in the Cambridgeshire on final run of last season.

Did very little wrong at 2 yrs, a campaign he signed off by landing the valuable Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar. Failed to progress last season, though, and needs to get back on track having been gelded since his latest appearance 8 months ago (has also undergone a wind op in the interim).

Off the mark in 1m Chelmsford maiden last summer and made it 2-2 on the AW when landing an 8-runner handicap over the same C&D on return in February. 5 lb rise fair considering that he had plenty in hand that day and, also effective on turf, this lightly-raced 4-y-o is one to be interested in.

Arguably produced his best effort yet when second past the post (subsequently promoted to first place) in the Spring Mile at Doncaster (1m, good) last month. However, things rather went his way on Town Moor and he's not the most consistent of types.

Huge eye-catcher when beaten a neck by Two Tempting at Sandown last summer and also shaped well next 2 starts. Form subsequently dipped but he'll be a threat if able to get back on track following a 7-month absence (gelded in the meantime).

Looked a good prospect when making a winning debut in 7f novice here at 2 yrs. Failed to build on that in handful of appearances last year but shaped well on first start since being gelded when fourth of 14 in a 1m Kempton handicap in November and he's not without hope.

Jack Channon holds a strong hand with his representatives URBAN LION and Metal Merchant both making plenty of appeal. The latter resumed in top form when taking this race 12 months ago and, though 6 lb higher this time round, he is not passed over at all lightly. However, preference is for his up-and-coming stablemate who had plenty left in the tank when striking on his reappearance on the all-weather in February. Classic is also shortlisted, along with James McHenry and Cogitate.
