Successful twice over hurdles last season and justified support when making winning chase debut in 2½m Newbury handicap in November. Bettered that form when 2 lengths second to classy The Jukebox Man over same C&D later that month and put in place by that rival in Graded company latest (3m).

Ended last season on the up over hurdles and perfect start to chase career when accounting for 5 rivals in a 2½m Uttoxeter handicap on return. Ran a cracker upped in trip/grade when runner-up in a listed chase here (24.5f) a month later but errors crept pitched into Grade 2 company last time.

Dual-hurdles winner last season and this former Irish point scorer is progressing very nicely over fences, supplementing his Kelso success in fine style at Ayr (3m) 3 weeks ago. Raised 7 lb and drop in trip far from certain to suit but his limit has not yet been reached.

Smart hurdler at his best who, in line with yard's fine form at the time, made a successful return/chase debut in novices' handicap at Warwick (20f) in October. Sound efforts all 3 starts since, fourth in a valuable course handicap last month. Should be thereabouts.

Good-looking sort who has taken really well to fences in recent months, winning handicaps at Wetherby and Bangor. The form of his Bangor win worked out well and he shaped as though still in form when third of 5 at Uttoxeter, booked for second until a mistake at the last. Remains of serious interest.

£110,000 Irish point winner who made bright start over hurdles, landing novices at Taunton/Kempton in the spring. Disappointed when fourth in Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow but firmly back on track when making winning chase/handicap debut in November. Matched that form at Ascot and now up in trip.

Most progressive sent handicapping over hurdles last season, winning his first 3 starts, and in receipt of weight-for-age he's unbeaten in 2 starts over fences to end 2024. Isn't the biggest so these fences will ask a different question but he's certainly one to be positive about.

JAGWAR is already a much better chaser than hurdler and with his Bangor win and Uttoxeter third (when better than the result) both working out very well, he's a handicapper to keep on the right side of. Masaccio doesn't have The Jukebox Man to contend with this time and he seems sure to give it a good go, while Billytherealbigred, a stablemate of the selection, shouldn't be ignored in receipt of a handy weight-for-age allowance.
