Fairly useful form when making a successful hurdling debut in a 19.4f Chepstow maiden in November 2022. Made the frame both subsequent outings that season and while a 23-month absence is naturally a concern ahead of this handicap bow, he still has both low mileage and potential.

Won twice over hurdles last season and returned to that sort of form with usual cheekpieces left off when second of 9 at Huntingdon (15.8f, soft) in November, pulling clear of the remainder. Excuses upped to 19f at Taunton since but others look better treated here all the same.

More than 2 years since he last got his head in front but likely to put that right soon enough judged on his latest second to the re-opposing Kado De Joie at Lingfield (19.5f, soft). Beaten a length by that rival and now 6 lb better off, a factor which could tilt the scales in his favour this time.

Progressive young hurdler who came from an unpromising position to follow up his Fontwell success in 8-runner handicap at Lingfield last time, proving a length too strong for Fine Casting. Further progress needed up 6 lb but this 5-y-o may well have more to offer.

Winner of a novice hurdle at Sedgefield in December 2021 but ended that campaign on a downer and didn't show much of an aptitude for fences on his comeback at Wetherby last February. Return to this sphere certainly no bad thing but it remains to be seen how much ability he retains.

Improved to get off the mark in 13-runner handicap at Chepstow last spring, responding well. Shaped as if amiss sent chasing at Ludlow 6 months later, but quickly returned to winning ways reverting to hurdling when making all over this C&D last month. More on her plate up 5 lb in this tougher race.

Won a maiden on debut for David Pipe at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good) during the summer but misfired on subsequent handicap bow at Chepstow in November. Since undergone a wind op and now sports a tongue-tie, so a breathing issue was presumably the reason for the Chepstow disappointment.

Placed in a pair of bumpers and quickly back from a spill at Carlisle when running out an emphatic winner of a Southwell maiden last spring. Disappointingly failed to land the odds in a Worcester novice next time but it's still early days for this 6-y-o and now goes up in trip for this handicap bow.

Three-time hurdle winner since joining Harry Fry and seemingly back on track following a string of low-key efforts when third in an 11-runner handicap at Taunton (19f, good to soft) on return from a break in November. Remains on a workable mark but a stiffer stamina test is probably what he needs.

Bumper/ hurdles winner for Fergal O'Brien but off for 500 days prior to pulling up in a point in May and beaten a long way in handicap hurdles at Chepstow and Hereford in recent months.

Ex-pointer who is still unexposed as a hurdler and, though 0-7 in this sphere, he again made the frame when fourth upped to 21.6f on deep ground at Exeter last time. Couldn't be sure that this drop back in trip will be ideal but he may well get competitive late on, granted a strong pace to aim at.

Winner of a 17f Exeter novice on New Year's Day last year but has offered little in 3 subsequent starts, including on his reappearance at Leicester.

Attracted support and showed improved form to make a winning handicap debut upped to 19.8f here in February 2023. Shaped as if retaining all his ability on what was essentially his return from an almost 2-year absence at Warwick last month (fourth of 11) and he is dangerous to discount.

Temperamental sort and while he managed to win over hurdles and fences at Plumpton last season, he has shown little spark in 2 runs so far this time round.

Ran to a fair level first time out in bumpers and stepped up on his hurdles debut when just touched off in a 4-runner Taunton novice in November. Again shaped well when fourth of 13 upped to 19f at the same course last week and he's 7 lb 'well-in' for this handicap debut.

LOKI'S MISCHIEF is armed with potential now stepping into handicap company and is a step ahead of the assessor, too, given that he's due to go up 7 lb for last week's highly encouraging effort in a Taunton novice. The 5-y-o shades preference ahead of Fine Casting, who is taken to reverse last month's Lingfield placings with the up-and-coming Kado de Joie on these revised terms. That said, the latter is respected in his hat-trick bid and Firestream is of interest, despite the lengthy absence.
