Progressing over hurdles and while he failed to justify strong support when runner-up in maiden at Sedgefield (16.8f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago, he did come a long way clear with the winner. However, he didn't look the most willing that day but certainly worth another chance.

Sea Moon gelding. Dam, modest hurdler (stayed 23f), from family of useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 25f) Wounded Warrior. Unplaced both starts in Irish points (latest Nov 3).

Mastercraftsman gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Proton. Dam 7f winner. Successful on second of 3 starts in Irish points, leading when fell 3 out next time (Nov 2023). Worth a market check on Rules bow.

Balko gelding who showed benefit of his initial experience and settled better ridden from the front when winning 5-runner bumper at Catterick (15.7f, good to firm) just under 8 weeks ago. Should be up to making his mark now hurdling with Brian Hughes retaining the ride.

Fair on Flat and looks a handicap project judged on both efforts over timber so far. Arrives fit from a close fifth of 11 at Newcastle (16.2f) on the level last month and market support should be noted.

Modest maiden handicapper on Flat who offered nothing on hurdling debut at Musselburgh on penultimate start. Again below form back on the level at Newcastle (10.2f) since and can only be watched.

Having finished runner-up on 3 of his 4 starts over hurdles so far, BEAU QUALI looks to have been found a good opportunity to open his account at the expense of Broderick, who failed to justify strong support at Sedgefield on Boxing Day but did pull a long way clear of the third. Kids Say Lastgojoe got off the mark second time up in a Catterick bumper a couple of months ago and he can edge out Famous Liss for the bronze medal.
