Just modest form in bumpers for Tom Weston and only had 2 rivals to beat when landing the odds on hurdles/stable debut back from a 6-month break over C&D (good to soft) in November. Still, she is at least open to improvement for the burgeoning Harry Derham yard.

Won 2 of 3 starts in bumpers and made promising hurdling/seasonal debut when runner-up over 2½m at Ffos Las. Made no mistake dropped to 15.8f at the same course next time and, provided she sharpens up in the jumping department, there will almost certainly be more races to be won with this 7-y-o.

From a good family and signed off 2023/24 bumper campaign off with a good second in Sandown listed contest. Followed hurdles debut/reappearance success at Market Rasen (20.6f, good) with a terrific effort in defeat upped in class/dropped in trip (16.3f) at Newbury and she sets a very good standard.

Well held in 2 bumpers and she was beaten a long way starting out over hurdles at Hereford last month.

Made a winning debut in bumper at Hereford in October 2023 but she came in a well-held fourth on her hurdling bow at Huntingdon in November. Likely to leave that form behind in time but this assignment demands a significant step forward.

Had wind surgery after pulling up on debut and placed on all 3 starts since, on the latest going down by only a head in mares' novice at Wincanton (21.5f, heavy) last time. Definite claims of making the frame here with a repeat.

Winless following 8 attempts between the flags and safely held both starts over hurdles to date. Barrabool is clearly the stable No 1.

Milan mare out of a bumper/2¼m hurdle winner. Represents an up-and-coming yard and she needs a second look in the betting, albeit Barrabool appears to be the stable's first-string.
Little impact in a couple of bumpers and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.

Point winner who did the job well starting out under Rules in a Uttoxeter bumper last summer. Wasn't entirely disgraced in a listed event back from a break at Cheltenham in November but the awkward head carriage she exhibited was somewhat disconcerting and step forward needed now hurdling.

Winner of the second of her 2 starts between the flags but she hasn't shown much in a bumper/mares' novice hurdles since embarking on a career under Rules.

Fair on Flat for Joseph O'Brien, off the mark in that sphere in an 11.8f Gowran handicap in September. No show both starts since switched to hurdles, though, and Blue Las is the clear pick of the yard's 3 candidates in this contest.

Three-time winner on the Flat at up to 1¼m for George Boughey in 2024. Changed hands for 32,000 gns in October and she's an interesting recruit to this sphere, though the Neil Mulholland yard's best chance of success here is surely with the promising Blue Las.

RULA BULA went down fighting when second in a 9-runner listed contest at Newbury at the end of November and she is difficult to oppose now back in calmer waters. It's likely that Blue Las and Game Colours will do battle for minor honours, with the former taken to emerge as second best given her scope for improvement. Barrabool also has potential but she's probably biting off more than she can chew on this occasion.
