6/1
Fair winner at 19f over hurdles who posted solid placed efforts over fences in May. Below form on comeback in November, struggled on final circuit. Should strip fitter on return to smaller obstacles today and not ruled out dropping into a 0-100 handicap for the first time.

20/1
Course winner who possibly needed the run on first outing since leaving Mitchell Hunt (after 7 months off) when well-held third of 9 in handicap hurdle over C&D in November. Failed to build on that when eighth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton (19.8f, soft) 21 days ago. Needs to bounce back.

Shaped as if better for the run switched to a handicap after 8 months off at Southwell (20.4f) 42 days ago, leading until the home straight, and could have more to offer in first time tongue-tie.

Career-best on handicap debut here third of 9 (16.2f, good to soft) 27 days ago, shaping as if she will stay further. Step up in trip would seem to be to her advantage based on that showing and she has obvious claims.

Little to shout about in bumpers/over hurdles to date but not unduly punished on most recent outing and could make more impact now switched to a handicap over a significantly longer trip.

C&D winner and last success came at this venue (25f) in October 2023. Mixed record since but this veteran can be competitive off this sort of mark, as shown when fourth of 10 (2½m, Wincanton) in November. Let down by jumping (unseated) last time but can go better with headgear back on.

Third on sole start in Irish points and showed some promise when second at Bangor in May (2m) responded to pressure and rallied late on, suggesting she'll appreciate a stiffer test. Disappointed at Newton Abbot (16.8f) the following month but remains of interest now up in trip for handicap debut.

Generally struggled last season but third of 6 behind two very well-handicapped rivals over 2½m at Fakenham back in March an obvious bright spot. Failed to back that up on final run for Alastair Ralph. Returns from 9-month absence to make debut for new yard but clearly isn't one to hang your hat on.

Made a winning chasing start in October but held back by jumping errors in most recent chase outings. Well-backed on return to hurdles third of 5 in handicap hurdle (11/8) at Ffos Las (23.9f, heavy) 19 days ago, again not always fluent. Blinkers could help her jumping and not ruled out down in trip.

Found to be lame after finishing fourth of 6 in novice hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) back in July 2023. Up in distance for her return which should suit but a long absence to overcome so might be best to look elsewhere, unless the market speaks in her favour.

Got off the mark in 2m handicap hurdle at Ffos Las in February and ended the season in good form over hurdles. May have needed comeback run, before pulling up on second chase outing 48 days ago. Returns to smaller obstacles today and each way claims if rediscovering hurdles form of last season.

Yet to beat another finisher in five starts under Rules. Jumped poorly latest and is now blinkered for the first time.

Forecasts

A Little Something (4/1), Bridget Mary (11/2), Coco Brave (6/1), Our Bill's Aunt (6/1), Nobody's Perfect (8/1), Auntie Maggie (10/1), My Granny Lily (10/1), Sadie Hill (10/1), Reely Delightful (12/1), Kentford Mallard (16/1), Just Go For It (20/1), Miss Pearl (25/1), Minneigh Mozze (50/1)

Verdict

In an open-looking contest, A LITTLE SOMETHING looks the obvious starting point and having stayed on well over 2 miles here last time, she can benefit from the step up in trip. Chief danger could be handicap debutante Auntie Maggie who showed up well for a long way on her penultimate start at Bangor. Don't rule out Our Bill's Aunt who drops into a 0-100 handicap for the first time.
