Fairly useful performer on Flat and he doubled his hurdles tally after 7 months off in handicap at Wetherby in October. Hadn't quite reached those heights on starts since but still in good heart, possibly not quite seeing out his race in soft conditions (fourth of 8) 29 days ago. Stable are flying.

Usually races prominently and positive tactics saw him come good in this sphere when taking a 2m Newbury handicap in March. Latest second of 14 (under today's conditional jockey) in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow (16f, good to soft) puts him bang in the mix here.

Landed decent pot over hurdles at Haydock in March 2023, but runs in this sphere since have been well below that. However, there were signs of promise on his latest run (fifth of 8 at Lingfield 19.5f, soft) when not given hard time. On a handy mark now and market should reveal what's expected.

Best effort to date over hurdles when runner-up over C&D in October, still displayed signs of greenness. Disappointing on handicap debut at Hereford (seventh of 15, 16.2f) 15 days ago. Didn't look the most straightforward of rides, but we know he goes well here, as does his trainer.

A competitive 7-runner handicap. AGGAGIO could be the answer to this puzzle, having shaped better than his finishing position last time, so he's on a winnable mark if back on-song. Any market support for the selection would be significant. Recent runner-up Bucephalus and C&D winner Inferno Sacree both like to front run, and they can fill the placings and give Aggagio a nice lead into the race.
