Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 1¼m) and showed an aptitude for hurdling when fourth on debut in this sphere Sedgefield in October. Understandably put in his place by Wise Owl (winner again since) following a wind op over C&D next time and cheekpieces enlisted for this handicap bow.

The 4-y-o makes his handicap debut in this sphere off what looks a workable mark. Bashful may well return to form back at this venue and, if so, he will be a threat off a mark just 1 lb higher than for the second of his two C&D wins last winter. The in-form Heart Above and Sea Legend are others to consider.
