Virgin Bet Daily Extra Places Handicap Hurdle

Talented but quirky in time with Iain Jardine but looked more straightforward when winning a pair of 2m handicap hurdles for new trainer Harry Derham in November. A 5 lb rise shouldn't prevent him making a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Consistent type who won at Kelso (2m) last January and was also an excellent second in the valuable Morebattle Hurdle there in March. Shaped well on last month's reappearance (Kelso again) and should give a good account here.

Fair and consistent maiden on Flat in France and taken well to hurdles for Rebeca Menzies, finishing runner-up 3 times prior to deservedly getting his head in front in maiden at Sedgefield last month. Likely to give his running again but his opening mark does demand improvement.

C&D winner. Not at best when behind a couple of these at Kelso last month but his solid Musselburgh record makes him a dangerous one to discount.

Won this race 12 months ago and also went in at Perth (2m, soft) in April. Not at best in recent starts but probably needed his latest one after 4 months off and he's dropped to 2 lb below the mark he defied at Perth. No shock were he to go well in this race again.

Fairly useful stayer on Flat but hasn't won since his 3-y-o days. Has reached the frame on all 6 outings over hurdles but latest C&D fourth was no more than respectable and might find the odd one too strong again. His regular tongue tie is combined with refitted blinkers. Has had wind surgery.
