7/1
3 wins from 10 runs this year. 7/1, maintained his unbeaten record for current connections in 11-runner handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 9 days ago. coming in for a well-judged ride after drawn wide. Useful apprentice negates a 3 lb rise and he should be bang there bidding for a hat-trick.

Completed quick-fire C&D hat-trick in 10-runner handicap (8/1) at this C&D 16 days ago. Nudged up another 2 lb and she should continue to give a good account.

Winner at Haydock in August. Below previous effort when fifth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 5/1) 7 days ago, not ideally placed. Does look capable of winning races for this yard, though.

3-time C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Shaped well under a negative ride from stall 1 when 3¾ lengths fifth of 10 to Red Maids in handicap (16/1) at this C&D 16 days ago, left with lot to do. Shortlist material (won this from a 1 lb higher mark last year).

Winner at Leicester in July. Looked unlucky not to finish closer returning from 5 months off when eighth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f, 11/4) 26 days ago, not clear run. Tongue strap on 1st time and won't be inconvenienced by going back up to 7f.

Ran poorly after 14 months off (gelded in interim) when 20 lengths last of 12 to Red Maids in handicap at this C&D (22/1) 6 weeks ago. Visor on 1st time. Work to do.

11/4, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at this C&D 7 days ago, showing a good attitude to fend off the hat-trick-seeking favourite. Can kick on now up and running.

Forecasts

Our Havana (3/1), Harry Did (4/1), Swiss Ace (5/1), Red Maids (7/1), Bravo Zulu (7/1), Starliner (17/2), King's School (11/1), Byzantine Empress (14/1), That's For Sure (40/1), Homer Stokes (50/1), Eden Storm (66/1)

Verdict

This looks a good race with plenty of in-form horses on show, but it could pay to side with the less obvious SWISS ACE, who shaped well under a negative ride when fifth behind Red Maids over C&D earlier this month and he looks ready to strike from a reduced mark (won this race last year). Bravo Zulu and the aforementioned Red Maids head up the dangers, with Harry Did and King's School both certainly not out of things, either.
