Placed 3 times from 4 completed starts in points and ran to a fair level on Rules debut when third of 12 in bumper at Worcester (16f, heavy) in October, despite hanging left over 1f out. Could be thereabouts once more.

Helmet gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Bashers Reflection. Dam lightly raced in bumpers/over hurdles. Yard not known for bumper winners.

€30,000 3-y-o, £60,000 4-y-o, Doyen gelding. Dam (c111/h110), 17f-3m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to useful hurdler (stayed 23f) Boreham Bill. Runner-up sole outing in Irish points (May 12) and he commands respect for leading trainer.

Failed to complete in 2 points but shaped with a little more encouragement when fourth of 7 in bumper at Carlisle (17.2f, soft) in October, just getting caught for speed in slowly-run race. Could build on his latest effort.

€65,000 3-y-o, Milan gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful chaser Lord Schnitzel and fairly useful hurdler/chaser The Dubai Way, stays 2¾m. Yard capable of readying a newcomer.
Timeform
Kayf Tara gelding. Dam (h105), bumper winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stays 2½m) Champagne Gold. Stable enjoys plenty of success in this sphere, so he's one to note on debut.
Timeform
Finished well held on her first start when eighth of 11 in bumper at Wetherby (16f, heavy) in February, dropping away quickly home turn. Looks to be up against it after 9 months off.

Timeform
€52,000 3-y-o, Jack Hobbs filly. Half-sister to fair 21f hurdle winner Gentle Life. Has a fair standard to aim at making her debut.

Forecasts

Great Fleet (11/4), Pertemps (3/1), Top Jimmy (3/1), Blue Bellamy (5/1), He's Bresilian (13/2), Darius Reflection (20/1), Vera Hobbs (20/1), Annies Gold (100/1)

Verdict

This could go to one of the Rules debutants, GREAT FLEET making plenty of appeal having finished runner-up in an Irish point ahead of joining his leading trainer. He is preferred to newcomer Top Jimmy, who represents a yard who does well in bumpers, with Blue Bellamy the pick of those with previous experience in this sphere.
