5/4
Point winner who was impressive when making his second start in bumpers a successful one at Wexford 23 days ago. Bold show likely on hurdle debut if showing up. Engaged 1.03 Carlisle Tuesday.

Timeform
Point bumper winner but finished a remote sixth in a bumper under Rules at Newcastle in March. The betting is perhaps the best guide now hurdling after 8 months off.
|
Timeform
Fairly useful bumper winner who arrives fit from a good fourth at Cheltenham last month. Leading claims on hurdle debut under Brian Hughes.
|
Timeform
Returned from a long absence to finish quite an encouraging fourth over C&D last month. He's one who leaves the impression he won't really come into his own until tackling longer trips but he could still play a prominent role. Engaged 2.40 Carlisle Tuesday.

Point winner who was third in a 19f Cork bumper for John Gleeson and has shown a bit in a couple of novice hurdles in the North this autumn. Might not reveal his true potential until handicapping, though. Engaged 1.03 Carlisle Tuesday.

Showed definite ability in 3 hurdles earlier in the year, posting his best effort when fourth over C&D in March. Place claims if ready to roll after 8 months off.

Timeform
Not disgraced both starts in points in spring 2023 but hard to derive much promise from his 2 efforts in novice hurdles last month.
|
Timeform
Imposing sort who was third in an Irish bumper in April and has shown definite ability in 2 hurdle runs for Sam England in recent weeks. Handicaps after this perhaps more his thing, though.

Modest form at best in a trio in bumpers but a different proposition sent hurdling when springing a surprise at Perth (2½m) in May. That wasn't a great race but she should still be very competitive under a penalty on return.

Timeform
Modest in bumpers. Easy to back and might have needed the run after 8 months off when a remote fourth of 5 on her Perth hurdle debut in September.

Has shown ability in 3 bumpers but not enough to suggest she's likely to make a winning start over hurdles here. Engaged 2.40 Carlisle Tuesday.

25/1
Arcadio mare who is bred to stay well and shaped with some encouragement when fourth of 11 in bumper at Musselburgh in March 2023. Limited promise in two hurdling outings subsequently, though. Engaged 2.40 Carlisle Tuesday.

Forecasts

Ira Hayes (5/4), Not So Sobers (9/2), Nellie Bluesky (6/1), Prince Of Perth (8/1), Golden Point (10/1), That One (20/1), Shadow Chaser (20/1), Lizzie Luna (20/1), Willie Shake Hands (20/1), Uokhun (25/1), Long Time Listener (33/1), Walk In The Valley (66/1)

Verdict

NOT SO SOBERS had the form of last month's Cheltenham bumper form boosted there over the weekend and can strike on hurdle debut. Perth winner Nellie Bluesky and That One should get involved in the battle for minor honours. Ira Hayes would be a major threat to the selection if showing up here after/instead of Carlisle on Tuesday.
