Didn't go on from a promising start over fences for Tom Lacey in 2022/23 but won a couple of handicap hurdles around this trip last term. £16,000 buy for new trainer and did all he could behind a progressive one back chasing at Bangor on return recently. Faces a younger pair of chasing debutants.

A tricky puzzle to solve despite the small field but preference is for KANDOR, who opened his account over hurdles at Perth in the summer and, having been a runner-up in Irish points earlier in his career, he can make the successful transition to chasing at the expense of Step Out, who was unsuited by the drop in trip when well held here earlier in the month and also makes his chase bow.
