Soldier of Fortune gelding who made a winning bumper debut at Newton Abbot and was also first past the post there in September (disqualified as ridden by banned jockey). Interesting hurdling debutant.

Promising debut third of 15 in novice hurdle at Tipperary (24f, good to soft) in May for Jonathan Sweeney. Can build on it for his new handler after a break.

Placed in points but yet to offer much in two runs over hurdles at Uttoxeter and Stratford this autumn. Hard to fancy.

Fairly useful bumper winner. Had a winnd op before making a promising start in this sphere when third of 12 in novice hurdle (13/8) at Chepstow (16f, good to soft) 30 days ago, finishing well under considerate handling. Capable of better. Firmly in the mix.

Cokoriko gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Ginger du Val and modest 17f chase winner Hidalgo des Bordes. This dual point winner needs considering now going hurdling.

Shaped with promise when fourth in a pair of bumpers and again when filling the same spot in novice hurdle (16/1) at Worcester (16f, heavy) 25 days ago. Goes up in trip now and should have more to offer. Player with that form working out well.

Green when an encouraging fifth of 11 in bumper (33/1) at Warwick (16f, good) on NH debut 6 months ago. Much respected on his hurdles debut with cheekpieces fitted.

Promising debut third of 14 in novice hurdle at Wexford (20.4f, good to soft, 3/1) 120 days ago on sole run for Colm Murphy. Seems sure to do better for his new yard.

Runner-up sole start in points and useful form when landing bumper at Chepstow in January. Off since but he's still one to consider now starting out over hurdles

Forecasts

Farland (15/8), Crest Of Fortune (4/1), Ski Lodge (4/1), Rula Bula (6/1), Jaccours (7/1), Churchstone Rover (15/2), Kap Vert (16/1), Neo King (28/1), Nels Son (28/1), Alan De Banks (33/1), Tokyo Tom (50/1), Kingston Gent (50/1), Ipsos Des Bordes (66/1), Ligety (125/1), Small Town Hero (150/1), Don't Ask Fitz (300/1)

Verdict

Lots of potential on show here, not least Olly Murphy's JACCOURS who is fancied to build on his promising Worcester fourth (form been franked) now his stamina is drawn out more and get off the mark. Farland also shaped well when third at Chepstow last time and could emerge as the main danger, with Churchstone Rover and Nels Son also with the form to have a say. Newcomers Ski Lodge, Crest of Fortune and Tokyo Tom also need factoring into this intriguing maiden.
