Shaped well in plenty of big field handicaps this summer and, returned to slower ground, he bagged Coral Sprint Trophy for second time in 3 years at York (6f) 4 weeks ago. Likeable sort who should be in the mix again up 6 lb.

AW novice winner last summer and returned to finish a much-improved second in the Greenham at Newbury (7f, good) in April. Efforts mixed in face of some stern assignments subsequently, losing place 2f out when eighteenth of 21 to Strike Red in handicap (33/1) at York (6f, soft) 28 days ago.

Winless since his 2-y-o days in Ireland but went close from career-low mark at Goodwood (6f) in October. Not seen to best effect (bumped start and left poorly placed) when fourth in a C&D handicap 15 days ago and he's not one to write off.

Returned to form after an 11-week break when taking 11-runner handicap at Haydock (6f) in September. Essentially below form both outings last month though, and others appeal more.

Irish raider who confirmed positive signs displayed during the spring when making a winning return from 7 months off in 13-runner handicap at the Curragh (5f) 6 days ago. Interesting connections turn him out under a penalty and further progress distinctly possible. Player.

Got back on the up taking on his elders for the first time at Ripon (6f) in September. Similarly useful efforts in finishing third both starts since, latterly when a neck behind Irish Nectar over C&D 2 weeks ago. Merits consideration nudged up just 1 lb.

Relished the testing conditions when regaining the winning thread at Goodwood in September. Similar form when placed on 2 of his 3 starts since, latterly when staying on into third over 5f here 14 days ago. Changed hands for 26,000 gns ahead of this and conditions in his favour.

Largely progressive following breakthrough success at Southwell (6f) in April, running his best race to date when second at Wolverhampton (6f) in August. Absent following a lesser run (pulled hard) when twelfth of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) later that month. Not one to write off.

Fairly low-key start to campaign on quicker ground but back on track with give underfoot of late, resuming winning ways back on last winning mark in 9-runner C&D handicap 15 days ago. In the mix

Thrived on a busy campaign, capitalising on the drop in grade as he brought up his fourth victory of the season in 8-runner handicap at Haydock (5f, heavy) 22 days ago, readily. Career-high mark to defy here but he's evidently at the very top of his game.

Thrived upon joining present stable, resuming winning ways at Ayr (6f) prior to a very good third of 12 in handicap at Southwell (6f) last week. Remains feasibly treated on pick of last year's form.

At the top of his game in mid-summer, winning big field 6f handicaps at Southwell/York. Had work cut following a slow start when ninth behind Strike Red back at York (6f, soft) latest and best treated as still in good form. Each-way possibilities.

Returned to form dropped into calmer waters when runner-up in 8-runner handicap at Haydock (6f, heavy) 22 days ago. Far from the easiest to predict but no doubting he has the ability to play a part if putting it all togther with his rider taking off a handy 7 lb.

Ended a lengthy losing sequence with a career best in 9-runner Bath handicap (5.7f) on penultimate start in October. Not in same form when 11 lengths second of 4 at Leicester (5f) 12 days ago and this looks tougher again.

Successful at Ascot/Brighton this summer and settled matters convincingly back at minimum trip at first-named venue in October. Very deep ground possibly against her both starts subsequently but this sort of mark asks more in any case.

Forecasts

Two Stars (15/8), Eye Of Dubai (5/1), Trilby (15/2), Solar Aclaim (9/1), Irish Nectar (12/1), Strike Red (12/1), Rousing Encore (16/1), Admiral D (16/1), Woven (18/1), Northern Spirit (20/1), Blue Day (20/1), Wodao (20/1), El Bodon (40/1), Mister Bluebird (50/1), Alcazan (66/1)

Verdict

Irish-raider TWO STARS remains less exposed than most and confirmed previous promise to run out a convincing winner after 7 months off at the Curragh 6 days ago. Open to further progress, including at this trip, he could be the way to go under a penalty. Solar Aclaim on debut for Julie Camacho, thriving 4-y-o Trilby and Eye of Dubai head up the dangers. Recent C&D winner Irish Nectar is another worthy of respect with conditions in his favour.
