Has an ordinary pedigree but finished runner-up sole start in Irish points in February and made an encouraging enough stat over hurdles when fourth of 13 in a Wetherby novice (19.7f) 23 days ago. Step up in trip will suit and he's entitled to do better.

CAPTAIN BELLAMY went backwards from an impressive debut success in bumpers, but he retains potential now switching to hurdling and first time up could be the time to catch him. Skyjack Hijack has to concede plenty of weights but he's thriving at present and warrants plenty of respect. Jack Black can build on an encouraging hurdling debut at Newbury 9 months earlier and merits consideration, also.
